“I am proud of him for his depth of feeling and his Texas manliness in his devotion to his woman. This is one manly Texas, a real macho, heroic guy, and a real gentleman, who, like all those in the top ten on my marriage list, would die for me. How can I be so lucky?”
— Gail[1]

Matthew McConaughey is an American actor generally known for chick flicks, starring in movies such as Dazed and Confused, Failure to Launch, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Gail laments that Hollywood doesn't portray him in roles that reflect the real Matthew she knows who is masculine and dedicated to his woman, and instead only casts him in movies that make him look like a shallow pretty boy.

Matthew is the most gentle of the men on the list, known for his delicate fingers, attention to aesthetic detail, and artistic creativity. He is talented at baking and designing cakes and gift wrapping presents. He once attended law school, but dropped out due to lack of interest.

A painting of Matthew McConaughey appears on the cover of a version of Gail's book Silver Skies. It has since been redacted, possibly because of copyright concerns. She envisions him in the role of Dor, the male romantic lead. He continues to play this role in the film adaptation of her book along with Brianna as his female costar.
